Verdant Specialty Solutions is seeking an HR & Recruiting Coordinator to provide administrative and operational support across recruiting, HR processes, and day-to-day office operations. This is an entry-level, process-driven role focused on executing established workflows and supporting a smooth candidate and employee experience.
You will work closely with HR leadership, receiving hands-on guidance and direction, while building foundational experience across recruiting and HR operations.
This role is fully on-site in Houston, TX and requires in-office presence five (5) days per week.

What You’ll Do
- Coordinate recruiting logistics, including scheduling interviews, sending candidate communications, and preparing interview materials
- Support job postings and maintain accurate candidate data in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Prepare offer letters using templates and route for review and signature
- Update recruiting trackers and provide routine status updates using existing reports
- Serve as an initial point of contact for candidates and hiring managers, responding to routine inquiries and escalating when needed
- Support pre-employment processes, including background checks and applicable screenings
- Prepare and send new hire welcome communications and onboarding materials
- Update monthly headcount reports using established formats
- Provide administrative support for office operations, including supplies, facilities coordination, and vendor interaction
- Support mail, shipping, and general office logistics
- Enter purchase requisitions into SAP and track status
- Maintain accurate records in line with company policies and confidentiality standards
- Escalate questions or issues to HR leadership and follow through on next steps

What You Bring
- 0–2 years of experience in administration, HR support, recruiting coordination, or similar roles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Exposure to an applicant tracking system (ATS) or HR system is a plus
- Experience scheduling interviews or coordinating logistics preferred
